Yea, Lord, we greet thee,
Born this happy morning;
Jesus, to thee be glory given!
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing!
Oh, come, let us adore him,
Christ the Lord.
We adore HIM!

the stockings were hung by the chimney with care...
this Christmas we have a mantel! i have been so excited about having one in the new place since last year we didn't have one and therefore didn't get stockings. BUT this year we are all decked out with monogrammed stockings yay! last night we made the first fire of the season and enjoyed this new treat!
moving in
here are some random pictures of the beginning of our move.
this is the beginning of the wallpaper coming down in the kitchen. now the kitchen is SO CUTE! the colors are wedgwood blue, apple green, black, tan, and white i love the bright colors and its a lot happier than that wallpaper. we have all new appliances now too which is a nice face lift to the kitchen!

the beginning of moving out my massive (and c's normal) amount of clothes. this was too funny not to grab the camera and take a picture. can you tell that caleb has a lot of blue and green?

and finally we captured rouge's true feelings on all the painting we had to do! so glad that's over!! :)

Raleigh Christmas Parade
the Christmas parade is always an amazing time and we enjoyed it on fayetteville street this year. enjoy!
storytelling festival
here are some pictures of our trip to jonesborough, tn with my parents in october. we had an amazing time!! i always heard about my parents going to the festival and last year decided to go with my mom to see what all the fun was about. this year my dad and caleb were able to join us and what a fun trip it was!
we really enjoyed the quaint historic downtown area complete with boutiques and some precious b & b's. the storytellers were great too!
let me say first these are a hodge podge of pictures with only one good one, oh well! the last two we had the sun in our eyes and every time i look at i have to laugh and in the third picture, the camera slipped but i still thought i would post it because it showed the "badge" we all had to wear, which i'm sure the men loved sporting around!
if you want to know more about the festival go here and here to find out about the town where its held.

dad's birthday
in late september we got together with my family to celebrate dad's birthday at my brother's house and to watch the state game there. we had a great time hanging out with everyone and celebrating another year in dad's life! these pictures are all with the girls and caleb in the backyard so i'll have to get some of the birthday boy to post on here later. we love you dad and thanks to taylor and betsy for opening your home to us!
our first anniversary in september
caleb and i celebrated our first anniversary on september 8th! we are so blessed and this year has been a great first year for us! its crazy to think its been a year and 3.5 months already! caleb took off a couple of days and we enjoyed a long weekend together. we stayed at the westin in charlotte before going to the breeder and getting rouge (our big anniversary gift), and on our actual anniversary went to dinner at a new restaurant on glenwood south called solas. here are some pictures we took afterwards enjoying our wedding cake!
being married to caleb is so awesome and i am a blessed woman and enjoy our life together so much :)

Rouge
over the past few months i've been taking so many pictures of cute rouge but haven't sat down to post them. there are SO many (and more i have on my camera, which i am looking for since the move) on C's phone i am using this player to make it faster. she's grown quite a bit since some of these were taken in the fall from September-November -- i can't believe she will be 6 months old two days after Christmas!

We're here!
...and are officially living in raleigh! what we thought would take one weekend to move has proved itself to take much, much longer--almost a month bc of many factors i don't care to go into! we are finally moved, and still finding places for everything, but we love it here for the time being and find new things to love every day. this move has taught me so much and looking back on it all i consider the trials (and there were many) to be a blessing.
i've just finished my decorating and started playing Christmas music this week and even though it's later than most years i'm actually enjoying this time more because its new, which has been exciting! tonight was our first normal evening in so, so long: caleb came home from work as i was making dinner, we enjoyed a tasty meal while listening to relaxing Christmas music, headed over to Starbucks afterwards, now he and rouge are asleep on the couch while i'm typing this. Ahhh, normal life is so refreshing! thank you to so many people for your listening ears and your encouragement too. we love you all!
i hope i can get around to posting pictures of our place and our Christmas card rejects with rouge, which are HILARIOUS.
MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS & FAMILY!
