How far along? 38 weeks, 5 days
Total weight gain: 33.08 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? A few.
Sleep: It feels like all I do is get up and down throughout the night...but I have had some nights that I've been able to sleep through. I've also consistently been waking up at 5am and have a hard time getting back to sleep. I think all this irregularity is partly due to feeling like we're always on "high alert" as Henry could come any day.
Best moment this week: Would definitely have to say getting the first pedicure of the season. Oh, it was heavenly! I even got an extra long foot massage from my lady and I soaked up every moment of it. Yesterday, Caleb and I started talking about the things we're looking forward to after Henry's birth. We talked about all the usual things new parents would mention, but one comment from Caleb simply made me laugh. He is looking forward to when I don't have to walk so slow. Thanks, honey... :)
Worst moment this week: Feeling like every stranger I walk by stares at my tummy--its the strangest thing. Caleb says its because I'm carrying him very well and I know a lot of people have told me that its just an odd feeling when you walk into Target and every stranger's eyes are on you!
Movement: All the time! We've been able to feel what we think is a knee or a foot sticking out several times on my side. When he's really active, I've also been able to gently push at his head and feel his bottom move up on the other side of my tummy. He occasionally has hiccups, but not too often.
Food cravings: Ice, sushi, chocolate, turkey, and milk.
Labor Signs: Henry is still head down. They checked me at our appointment this afternoon and I am 1.5 cm dilated and 60% effaced! Its a start! Of course I could stay this way for either days or weeks-its just a waiting game at this point. But I'm thankful to know we're making some progress! Henry's heartrate is a steady and healthy 150 and my tummy is measuring right on time at 38 cm. The doctor was very impressed that I've had very minimal swelling that doesn't stick around long, low blood pressure, and a healthy amount of weight gain. She was also impressed with how spry I still am, which was nice to hear when you feel like you can't move like you used to!
Belly Button in or out? In, but way flatter than the last week.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Milestones: Down to a few items still left to do on our lists! We're both walking around these days trying to constantly keep all our 'ducks in a row' just in case he comes sooner rather than later. Its so strange to prepare for something when you have no idea when it will come. :)
Looking forward to next week: Celebrating the resurrection of our Savior!!

How far along? 37 weeks, 6 days
Total weight gain: 33 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? A few.
Sleep: I have been sleeping more lately and getting tired earlier in the evenings and still waking up several times a night.
Best moment this week: Getting a nice long weekend with Caleb and doing all those "we won't be able to do this after Henry arrives" things have been so fun!
Worst moment this week: Just getting through the last stretch, but its been manageable so nothing has been too out of the ordinary.
Movement: All the time!
Food cravings: Ice, sushi, chocolate, turkey, and milk.
Labor Signs: Henry's definitely moved further down and I feel a lot more pressure and for those who didn't know he has been head down for several weeks now.
Belly Button in or out? In, but way flatter than the last week.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Milestones: Crossing off a lot of the things on our to do lists (several things left too!) Started going to the doctor each week now until he comes! Down to the two week mark tomorrow :)

Henry's Baby Shower!
Earlier in March, a group of 8 very special ladies in our church threw Henry a baby shower! I loved getting to visit with so many wonderful women in our lives and gleaning from their wisdom. There were close to 30 people there, my goodness! Henry received so many sweet and very generous presents! The first picture is when I am 35 weeks pregnant with little Henry!

36 weeks!
How far along? 36 weeks, 6 days
Total weight gain: 31 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Yes
Sleep: Sleeping a lot more lately. I'm taking it while I can get it!:)
Best moment this week: Seeing God's provisions pouring all over our lives. Finally getting my husband back! I really enjoyed my birthday on Sunday and thank you to all of you for your calls, cards, and gifts! Feeling like we have checked so much off of our to do lists (still more to go), but if Henry chooses to come tomorrow we will be ready for him with welcome and open arms! My sweet Dad coming over to mow our lawn this weekend. Thanks again, Dad!
Worst moment this week: Getting through last Wednesday-Friday evening when Caleb's hours were at their longest. All of that seems like another lifetime, praise God! Having to get up several times during my birthday dinner to walk around the restaurant so I could breath. Henry has dropped so its been uncomfortable to sit and to breath...
Movement: Several times this week we could both feel either a little foot or knee pushing out on my right side! One of the best parts was that Caleb was able to feel it too!
On.
Milestones: Finally finding a second vehicle (God was written all over that), expecting my glider to be delivered in the next couple of weeks, and finishing off our registries last night!
Looking forward to next week: I'll be full term tomorrow (3-16)!!!
Total weight gain: 31 lbs.

35 weeks!
How far along? 35 weeks, 6 days
Total weight gain: 29 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Yes
Sleep: Still waking up a couple of times a night and SO tired of having to sleep on my side!
Best moment this week: I had such a fun time at the brunch shower this weekend! Everyone who was (and was not) able to make it showered us with gifts for Henry and we are very, very thankful for their generousity. *More on the shower in another post! Also, an impromptu date night with Caleb was such a nice treat for the both of us! (For those who don't know, C is nearing a deadline for a massive project and for the past 3 1/2 weeks he has worked well over 65 hours each week, including weekends, so to have some time together was such a sweet surprise!) I hope Henry gets his father's work ethic because let me tell you it is strong!
Worst moment this week: Nothing has been too horrible this week...I guess I would have to say just the uncomfortableness of being this far along. Its amazing how I'm so used to constantly being uncomfortable that it seems normal to me, haha.
Movement: Yes, he's moving around a lot! Not just moving but strong jabs in my side and I think he's stretching out those legs of his.
Food cravings: Ice, sushi, chocolate, turkey, and milk.
Labor Signs: None as far as I know.
Belly Button in or out? In, but way flatter than the last week.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Milestones: Getting closer to meeting Henry!
Looking forward to next week: My 26th birthday and getting my husband back!
Total weight gain: 29 lbs.

Looking back on 34 weeks
How far along? 34 weeks (sounds so long ago, haha)
Total weight gain: 29 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yep, waddling around in them. :)
Stretch marks? Yes, a couple more to add....yuck.
Sleep: I feel like I can't get enough of it these days! Also started waking up several times a night for the past couple of weeks.
Best moment this week: Enjoying time out of town (for the last time for quite a while) this past weekend with Caleb. We went to the beach for half the day where it was COOOLLLD. But we had fun going to Airlie Gardens, Dockside for dinner, enjoyed a nice walk on the beach, then got ice cream here. On Sunday, we made great strides in Henry's nursery by putting up the curtains and shelves. We have a couple of little projects left and then it will be done!
Worst moment this week: Realizing how difficult it is to travel long distances. I lasted about an hour and a half in the car before we had to stop and walk around on our trip to the beach. Sitting in the same spot for that long made it so difficult for me to breathe. Not fun! I've also been experiencing some new symptoms that are common in the third trimester (shortness of breath, numbness in legs and arms, weakness, and accelerated heart rate) which are all normal on their own one at a time, but in my case all of these symptoms will hit me at one time, which feels like an attack. That's the closest thing I can relate it to. During and afterwards I feel really lethargic and really sleepy. My doctor has asked me to take it easy and monitor these episodes. So that's been a change for me to remind myself to slow down a lot more and determine my limits.
Movement: Yes! The nice thing about all that I'm going through above is that Henry is the reason all my energy is zapped. He continues to be a strong, healthy baby. Caleb and I are very blessed. :)
Food cravings: Ice, sushi, chocolate, turkey, and milk (C and I always drink organic skim milk, and I recently discovered Horizon's Organic Vanilla milk this week and its SO good!! I wouldn't recommend it to replace your regular milk drinking, but this is a fun treat to have every once in a while because it tastes just like melted ice cream!)
Labor Signs: None as far as I know.
Belly Button in or out? In, but way flatter than the last week.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Milestones: Getting through our first birthing class last Wednesday! We had a great time and look forward to the next four classes. Tonight we're getting a tour of the birthing center and I think we'll get to see some sweet babies!
Looking forward to next week: Celebrating Henry's upcoming arrival at a brunch baby shower on Saturday!
Total weight gain: 29 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yep, waddling around in them. :)
