You are at least 11 pounds as of late May, but I don't know your exact weight and height until your next well checkup.
We pray for you each day.
You eat every 3 hours during the day. Most nights you sleep eight hours at one time then eat around 5am and go back down again for a long nap. You've been taking more morning or afternoon naps but those aren't always regular. You definitely don't take as many cat naps as you did as a newborn. You want to stay awake for longer periods of time during the day which I love.
You love to sit up and be talked to after I change your diaper. You are talking to us a lot these days. You make sounds like ooo a lot.
You will scream when we burp you in the middle of a feeding. Your face will get bright red (you get that from your Daddy) and let us know how mad you are!
Your first holiday was Memorial Day and we celebrated with your first cookout at Caroline and Zak's house. You also went to your first family lunch at Grandmother and Granddaddy's house.
You love to sleep in your bouncer. The vibration and rocking will put you right to sleep if you're in the mood for a nap. You still love your car seat once we start riding and you still get upset when the car stops if you're still awake. Your stroller is still a favorite napping place for you.
You go through many clothes, diapers, burpcloths, and bibs each day. But I don't mind it. :)
You have discovered your fingers in the past couple of weeks. You will hold your hand in a fist and search for a place to suck on them. Your favorite place to suck is right below your thumb or on my shoulder when I hold you there.
You are your happiest when people are talking and singing to you or making funny sounds. You will give a huge grin! I love it when you smile at me. You like hearing the words vroom, zoom, zipper, yum, boom, la la and will give me that cute grin. On Monday you tried to laugh for the first time and I was so happy I got to see it!
You are recognizing our voices and faces even more and will look around the room if you hear us still.
You love to look at ceiling fans, "Mr. Octopus" on your activity mat, black and white pictures, your mirror that lights up and plays music in the backseat, the lights around you, and you've begun to look at the TV some if its on.
You love to be bounced with your paci still. You respond to us when we make the sound "shh shh shh" to calm you. It makes us feel like a million bucks when you are fussy and then calm down once you're held or talked to.
Your nicknames are Little Man, Little Guy, Hen, Henry boy,
You'll start to cry if no one is talking to you or singing to you depending on your mood, but you will happily occupy yourself for longer periods of time than you used to. You like to rock on the front porch at home.
You are now in 0-3 month clothes and some 3-6 month clothing because of your height. You're still our long boy and we love that about you!
You have deep blue eyes and you have grown long blonde eyelashes. You still have a lot of your hair and its a light brown color. Sometimes in the sunlight your hair has a light red tint to it.
You have been on your first trip to Granna and Papaw's house! You did great in the car and slept almost all of the way for the 7 hour drive. You wore your first UT bib and you looked very classy. :)
You can roll from your back to your side and back again and your side to your tummy.
You love the songs Baa Baa Black Sheep, The Farmer and the Dell, My God is so Big, ABC song, I Have a Maker, and Twinkle, Twinle Little Star.
We have enjoyed your second month of life, Hen and in some ways it feels like we've been parents a lot longer than just two months. We love you!!!!!!!
